Erling's Story

If there was ever a dog that lived up to his namesake it would be our little Erling. Named after the Norweigan soccer star, we were certain that he would bring joy and laughter to everyone he met and, boy were we right. Erling embodies golden retriever energy in his tiny terrier body. He has the warm, loveable personality, is enthusiastic about even the most basic tasks, and cheerfully optimistic every single day. Based on his personality you would have no way of knowing that he came to Wescue with a badly broken leg and heartworms.

Like a true champ, he has completed all of his PT and his leg is fully healed. Now it is on to heartworm treatment, so he can find his perfect family for many years to come.

Erling is looking for a family that loves walks, adventures and snuggles on the couch. He is leash and crate trained. Since he has been in crate recovery for his broken leg, we don't know how he is on house training just yet. He has learned sit and will be happy to show you (especially if you have treats). Expect constant smiles and laughs around this goofy, happy boy.

Age: 1-1/2 years
Weight: 13 lbs
Dogs: yes
Cats: unknown
Children: yes

Erling has been vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. His adoption donation is $350 and includes heartworm treatment, 6 months heartworm preventative meds, prepaid lifetime premium microchip registration, and safety harness

If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting Erling, please apply online at wsrh.com

Please do NOT send inquiries via Adopt A Pet or PetFinder as we are a small rescue and cannot handle a large number of inquiries. If you have a specific question, please email us at westiehouston@gmail.com but in order to be considered for adoption, you must complete an application.

All dogs are available until Adoption Pending is noted next to their names. WSRH DOES NOT HAVE A PUBLIC SHELTER. ALL OF OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN PRIVATE HOMES. Approved adopters only will be invited
