Eric's Story

Sweet, handsome 2yr old Eric would make the perfect valentine! He snuggles, stares longingly into your eyes and would love to watch romantic movies all night long! <br/>Eric is loving life in his foster home with an older smaller dog that he is very respectful of but is playful with other dogs who are also ready to play. He likes to be close to his people, including climbing up in a lap if you let him, and settle on the sofa with a toy to chew on. His foster mom says he is really chill in the house and would probably welcome a little more dog interaction than her older pup wants to have, but would be happy as an only dog as well in a family that involves him in their activities. He takes treats ever so politely and hangs with our cat sometimes in the window!<br/>Eric is about 60lbs, microchipped, neutered and up to date on vaccines. He is house and crate trained. Double Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy

If you are interested in adopting one of our furry friends we ask that you complete an application (which we will forward to you) or download one from our website. We also require a vet reference check and a home visit when possible. Some of our dogs require fenced in yards while others do not. If you are interested in a dog you must e-mail the contact on each dogs petfinder page. Important Information Pertaining to Each Dog A Dogs have received the following before being available for adoption: Routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (kennel cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming (Puppies 6 months or younger will not have their rabies as they are too young). Spay/Neuter: All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease. Heartworm: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 mon
