Eric's Story

Eric was born Feb 19th 2018 and is 6.5 years old. Eric's mom is a mix of Weimaraner and Basset Hound mix, Momma Hanna was found pregnant walking down the highway in SC near the Georgia Border and she ended up in the shelter; we don't know who the daddy is to the puppies. Eric however looks and acts very much like Labrador puppy so we suspect he may have some Lab mix in him. Eric loves other dogs. He has grown up with dogs and is the most comfortable around another dog. He would benefit from a home with a confident dog who can show him around. While Eric is very playful and loves to wiggle. He can be shy in new situations. He loves yummy treats and is very food motivated. He is active but can easily distract himself with toys. Eric is ready to find his forever home!! Blackjack Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy

Please go to www.blackjackrescue.org and fill out an application under adopt menu. We have dogs placed in foster homes in many states including Indiana, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, and Connecticut. Our adoption fee helps to cover the costs associated with rescuing and vetting. Once your application is received, we will check references and call you to schedule a meet & greet or home visit. Depending on your location, the home visit may need to be completed by a rescue organization that is local to you. Once approved to adopt, pickup or third-party transport will be arranged for your new family member. It is our preference that you are able to personally meet the dog prior to adopting. We do not have a physical structure, but we have dedicated foster homes in many states. Please have your application completed in order to schedule the home visit or meet and greet.
