Although he was a familiar face to all the neighbors, the harshness of the streets is unforgiving, and one day he was brutally attacked and injured. With his body bloodied but an unbreakable instinct, Enzo limped back to the street he knew best, quietly waiting for a helping hand. Fortunately, the neighbors who knew him didn't turn their backs; they called for help, and the local shelter came to his rescue, healing every single one of his wounds. At the local shelter, dogs are in cages 24/7 and only get walked when there are volunteers to walk them... <br/>Even though Enzo had proper care at the shelter, the confinement began to take a toll on his soul. The desperation for just a little bit of freedom led him to hurt himself while trying to poke his head through the only open space in his kennel. So volunteers rallied around getting him out and into a foster / dog day care environment.
