She’s playful, affectionate, and always ready for adventure—or a cuddle.<br/><br/>Emmie came into rescue after she and her siblings were found abandoned in a Dallas neighborhood. Now safe in CRT foster care, she’s thriving and showing off her happy, loving personality.<br/><br/>In her foster home, Emmie enjoys playing with other dogs, zooming around the yard, and chasing her favorite squeaky toys. She’s also a big cuddle bug who loves attention and will happily follow you everywhere—sometimes right underfoot! She can be a bit of a door-darter, so her new home will need to be mindful when opening doors.<br/><br/>Emmie is smart, confident, and eager to please. She is almost fully housetrained, uses potty pads as needed, is crate trained, and is learning leash skills.<br/><br/>She is about 6 months old (as of April), weighs around 10 pounds, and is expected to stay under 15 pounds. She has a beautiful dark chocolate coat with adorable markings. We did a DNA test on her and her results are as follows: 69% Chihuahua, 7% Yorkshire Terrier, 6% Shih Tzu, 4% Pomeranian, 4% Pekingese, 3% Poodle (Toy and Miniature), 2% Dachshund, 2% Papillon and 1% Bichon Frise! And we will add that she is 100% adorable!<br/><br/>Emmie would do best in an active home ready for the commitment of a puppy. She would love another playful dog companion and needs a family who is home regularly. Because she can be vocal, an apartment may not be ideal.<br/><br/>As a young pup with many years ahead, Emmie is looking for a forever family to share the next 15–20 years of love and companionship.<br/><br/>Adoption Details:<br/><br/>Emmie is being fostered in the Dallas-Fort Worth (Texas) area. Her vet work is completed and she is ready for adoption!<br/><br/>This dog is a CRT rescue. Reference checks, adoption contract and $350.00 adoption donation required.<br/><br/>As part of our mission to reduce the number of unwanted and sick dogs, we require that all current pets are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and taking heart worm prevention.
