Emmie's Story

Emmie is a sweet 3-year-old dog rescued who was rescued as a starving 2-pound puppy from a rural village in Fiji.

Since she arrived in the USA she has been living with an older Husky. Unfortunately the Husky has become really dominant and Emmie is stressed by this, and the growing tension between them is stressing Emmie emotionally.
We love her and want her to have a calmer, less stressful home so she can thrive.

Emmie is sensitive and emotionally intelligent dog. She would thrive in a calm, household with someone who can offer structure, patience, companionship and most of all, consistent love and affection. She would do best as an only dog in a home with previous dog experience.

She is a deeply loyal and affectionate—loves to cuddle and follow her people from room to room, and very playful, smart, and eager to please.

• She is crate trained and fully potty trained
• Knows basic commands (sit, down, stay) and is trained to go to her “place” (a dog bed)
• She would make a great companion for anyone.

She can be reactive around fast-moving objects such as skateboards, and can resource guard with toys and balls with some dogs so we recommend a calm and patient owner who is looking for a loyal, loving companion.

Emmie Is spayed and up to date on all shots. She is approximately 30-35 lbs. We did her DNA and it came back 100% Polynesian Village Dog. (which means too many breeds for too long of a time to pick one out.)

She is currently in Santa Cruz and we like you to fill out an application first so we can make sure it's a match before meeting her.

Email Sue Redding at redding5765@gmail.com for an application or call and we can talk abot her to see if you area match!

Emmie is one of the most resilient and heart-connected dogs we’ve ever known. She would love to find a responsible loving attentive owner.
