He is a 10 month old, 50 lb, "F1B springer-doodle", which means he is 3/4 standard poodle and 1/4 springer spaniel. Emmett has a no-low shed coat right now. Since he is still a puppy, his coat could change some. He is currently cut short and will have a gorgeous coat when it grows out, with proper grooming.<br/><br/>Emmett is a very sweet boy and loves the other dogs and children in his foster home. Emmett spent the first 8 months of his life in a barn and was not socialized, therefore, he still has a lot to learn about trusting strangers and life in general. Emmett is still very wary of men but is slowly improving. This is typical for dogs that were not socialized as young puppies but he is making strides everyday.<br/><br/>Emmett will need a home with someone who is home more often than not. He will also need a home with at least one other, well adjusted, confident dog in the home to help model good behavior. Emmett does suffer from separation anxiety but being in a foster home with other dogs has made a world of difference. With that being said, we will require his new home to have a minimum of one other dog.<br/><br/>Emmett still has a lot to learn but he is a super sweet boy and wants to please. We feel he will thrive in a patient, loving environment. <br/><br/>Considering Emmett's needs, we will not place him with novice dog owners or in an apartment.<br/><br/>We will require a physically fenced yard for Emmett. No e-fences will be considered.<br/><br/>Emmett is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.<br/>ADOPTION FEE $450<br/><br/>OUR ADOPTION DONATIONS RANGE FROM $100 - $750 depending on the dog.
