Emmett is an adorable and gorgeous about 1.5 year old black and tan short hair miniature Dachshund (he weighs 11 lbs.). Emmett was dumped at the shelter by his owner because they did not want to take care of the skin condition he needed help with. Emmett has an exceptionally nice personality. He is extremely well behaved - he is quiet and100% house broken. He is one of the best dogs we ever had in our care. Emmett is very sweet and affectionate but not clingy and he does not mind spending time by himself snoozing in his dog bed. He loves going for walks and he loves running around in the yard - he is quite inquisitive - as much as he likes curling up on the couch with you. He rides very well in the car. He gets along great with other dogs of all sizes and ages. He is fine with cats too. His favorite activity is catching flies!!! For Emmett we are looking for a home with a securely fenced in yard and where he gets a lot of attention and lap time.<br/>Emmett is neutered, he had his 3-year Rabies vaccination, he tested negative for Heartworm and is on Heartworm prevention. <br/>If you are interested in giving Emmett a loving home please e-mail us.
