Meet Emme, a 9-year-old, 21 1/2 lb. Wire-haired dachshund. This sweet girl looks like she just went thru a windstorm, but as she would tell you if she could talk, that's just how her hair grows. She even went to the beauty parlor and was right back to her 'look' before she even got home! But that's ok - she's adorable just as she is!<br/>Emme is a mile a minute and loves to run, therefore we are requiring a fenced-in yard for her. Oh, and belly rubs - she will give you her belly and demand a scratch! And she hasn't met a snack she didn't like!<br/>Emme loves everyone, including other fur friends. Emme is pretty much house trained (will use a pee pad if needed), walks well on leash, and rides well in the car. She gets a little nervous during storms. She sleeps quietly through the night but will chime in if other dogs bark. Emme loves toys. She hasn’t been with a cat while with our rescue.
