Emmalee

Emmalee is a 7-year-old Dachshund who is ready to trade her life as a retired breeding dog for a loving home of her own. She has the sweetest personality and is always on the go! Whether she's exploring the yard, following you around, or greeting new friends, her little tail is always wagging.<br/><br/>Emmalee loves everyone she meets and has done great with children. She also gets along well with other dogs, making her a wonderful addition to a multi-dog household.<br/><br/>One unique thing about Emmalee is that she was debarked before coming to us. She still tries to bark, but very little sound comes out. While she's quiet, she certainly doesn't let that stop her from expressing herself!<br/><br/>She has shown quite a bit of interest in our shelter cats. While we haven't seen any signs that she wants to hurt them, we do think she would likely enjoy chasing a cat that runs, so a cat-free home or one with dog-savvy cats may be the best fit.<br/><br/>Emmalee would have been used to a doggie door at her pervious home. We are working on crate training and she's doing well. She doesn't make a mess in her crate. But she will probably need a little help with potty training. <br/><br/>Before Emmalee goes to her forever home, she will be spayed and receive a full dental cleaning. She is current on vaccines. Emmalee weighs 17.3 pounds. Now all she needs is a family to love her the way she deserves. If you're looking for a happy, affectionate little companion, Emmalee may be the perfect match!
