Emma's Story
Emma is a 2-year-old American Bully mix who is basically equal parts goofy best friend, adventure buddy, professional cuddler, and tiny wrecking ball for squeaky toys.

She LOVES:
Balls, tug toys, bones & ALL the toys
Car rides & adventures
Parks and being active
Couch cuddles and lazy days
Food (which makes her very trainable!)
Her people — she is incredibly sweet and affectionate

Emma is smart, confident, playful, and currently working with a trainer. She listens beautifully when she’s focused and is eager to learn, although distractions can make things harder.

Emma does have some important needs. She has a high prey drive, so she needs a cat-free home. She is also dog-selective and has had some difficult interactions with other dogs, so she needs an experienced adopter who understands reactive dogs, strong breeds, and responsible management. When Emma finds a dog she likes, though, she can be an absolute BLAST to play with!

She’d likely do best as the only dog, or with a very carefully matched, easygoing/submissive canine companion. Because of her strength and big personality, we recommend a home without young children, or with older, dog-savvy kids.

Emma is also being treated for heartworm and her rescue is covering her treatments.

She’s a happy, healthy, hilarious girl who has SO much love to give. Emma isn’t looking for just anyone — she’s looking for her person. Someone confident, patient, knowledgeable, and willing to keep working with her.

If that’s you, Emma might just be your girl.
