Emiley's Story
Emiley was born about July 13, 2009 and weighs about 28 lbs. This lucky little girl has just been released from a breeding facility/puppymill where she has been living her life in a wire bottom cage only being taken out to be bred two or three times a year. She was nothing more than a manufacturing machine with a quota to maintain for stocking pet store shelves and as she aged she was not manufacturing enough puppies to justify the space she took and the food she ate. So, these delightful 'millers' decided to set her free and now she has a chance at a real life, a life we hope that her hundred or so puppies are living. Emiley will need some work on house training, as she never had a change, remember, she was never taken out of the crate. She defecated there, ate there, slept there. Also, some smaller dogs and some mill dogs benefit from having potty floor pads handy for when they can't hold it. She will need to learn how to love humans, walk on leash, and play. If you are not familiar with mill dogs we have notes written up to help you and if you'd like a copy sent to you, please e and let us know. They are not a move in easy kind of dog, but it's all worth it when you, one day, see that sparkle in their eye and you know that they have finally turned that corner!! The Adoption Fee for this dog is $275.00.
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES

We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.

Can't Adopt Me? SPONSOR ME
Look for the Link 'Special Instructions to Seller' if you want to note a particular pet
