Emi's Story

Meet Emi — Sweet, Shy, and So Ready for Love

Hi, I’m Emi — a 2–3-year-old, 13-pound pup with a gentle soul and the cutest little overbite you’ve ever seen.

I was rescued by The Sato Project from a heartbreaking hoarding case in Manatí, Puerto Rico, where I lived in a crowded home with more than 30 other dogs. It was a scary place, but now I’m safe, healing, and finally learning what love feels like.

I’m currently living my best foster-life in New York City with my foster brother, and I’m getting braver every single day. I would thrive in a home where I can continue to grow into the confident girl I’m meant to be.

Because of my past, I can be shy at first — especially in new places or around unfamiliar people. But once I feel safe, my sweetness shines through, and you’ll see just how special I am. A calm, patient, and loving home would be the perfect match for me as I settle in at my own pace.

And about that overbite… it gives me the most adorable, one-of-a-kind smile.
