Emery's Story
Emery is from the streets of Border town Texas. She is a Texas street dog special who came in with her 4 other siblings. She's a bit undersocialized but she warms up quickly. She's had zero training but learns fast and is very smart. She has not been around children so they do freak her out a bit. She growls and barks at them. She will do best in a mature, energetic home with older kids and a fenced in yard to play in. Emery is around 9-10 mo old and around 45 lbs. She will not get any bigger. I think she has some Texas healer mixed in there too as one of her siblings looks healer/lab mixed where she git more of the long haired JRT/lab looks. She is a very loyal dog once she gets to know you and she will stick right by you. She's not really afraid of thunder or loud noises. She lives the water and doing zoomies. She can be bossy with other dogs and will do best with confident, social dogs. She will pick on a weak, dog that acts like prey. Especially if it is small. She is great with my very alpha 3.5lb teacup poodle and leaves her alone. She has gone after a very timid yorkie....so, It will just depend on the dog. She will be fine with a confident cat. She will be great if you live far off the rd in the country with no fence as long as you obedience train her and stay with her outside. Emery lives in the country and stay in a 4ft privacy fence with no issues. I hooe you'll consider adopting her. She will be a great companion for a lonely soul.
