Ember's Story

Meet the Inferno Pack – EMBER!

Date of Birth: September 27, 2025
Breed: Rottweiler & German Shepherd
Weight: 22lbs (and growing)

Ember is a bold and confident young pup with a heart as big as her spirit. She was surrendered along with her siblings and comes from impressive stock—her mom is a purebred Rottweiler and her dad a purebred German Shepherd.

Ember has faced some challenges early in life, having suffered a growth plate injury that required amputation of one leg. Despite this, she is resilient and full of energy, ready to embrace life with her new family.

This fun-loving girl plays rough and is best matched with large or extra-large dogs who can keep up with her tank-like playstyle. She's not suited for homes with small or senior dogs, as she's still learning appropriate boundaries and can be a bit exuberant. Ember is currently working on resource guarding, especially around her food bowl—a common Rottweiler trait. To help, she uses a slow feeder dish because she's extremely food motivated and tends to eat fast.

Smart and eager to learn, Ember already knows several commands including sit, leave it, wait, come, touch (nose to hand), "let's go," and she understands “go outside.” She is crate trained, fully potty trained, and will let you know when she needs to go out. While she hasn't had much leash experience yet, she is progressing well. Ember sleeps through the night but will wake you up if she needs a potty break or it's time to start the day.

She's a sweet girl who gets along well with the kids in her foster home. Like many puppies, she can be a bit mouthy when excited but nothing out of the ordinary. Ember would thrive best with an active, experienced family with older, dog-savvy children who can keep up with her energy and help guide her into a well-mannered adult dog.

Looking for a confident, playful, and smart companion to join your active lifestyle?
