Ember's Story

Hi, Im Ember. Life hasnt always been kind to me I was abandoned and had to figure out how to survive on my own. Now Im learning what it means to be safe, loved, and part of a real home.

Im still figuring out how to greet and play with other dogs, so I do best with slow and gentle introductions. Being left behind in my past has made me a little worried when Im alone, so I would love a home where someone works from home or has time to help me with crate training. Im not a big fan of the crate yet, but Im trying.

One of my biggest discoveries lately is how nice it is to cuddle. For a long time, I didnt know what comfort felt like, but now Im starting to enjoy every soft blanket and gentle pet. Im also on a weight loss journey and feeling better every day.

Im looking for someone with a kind heart and patience to help me blossom into the amazing dog Im meant to be. Could that be you?

Please note: All Arctic Rescue dogs are marked yes to Needs Experienced Adopter. This is because Northern breeds typically have higher exercise, training, and care requirements than others. We recommend researching the breed before pursuing adoption if you do not have prior experience.

Arctic Rescue's Adoption Policy
HOW OUR ADOPTIONS WORK: 1) We require all adopters to fill out an online application at: https://www.arcticrescue.com/adopt 2) We are a Utah-based rescue. All potential adopters must come to Utah and meet the dogs. We do not transport dogs. 3) We want to make sure that your home is the perfect fit for one of our dogs and vice versa. We want all members of the family to be happy and well matched with each-other, so require families to do a phone interview, reference checks, meet dogs and pass a home-inspection before adoption.
