Elvis - IN FOSTER HOME - AVAILABLE TO ADOPT

Elvis is an adorable 35-pound terrier–Chihuahua mix with a big personality and a whole lot of charm!<br/><br/>He’s a healthy boy, just under 4 years old. He spent more than a year in a home, but was returned to the rescue after the adopters poor choices in play styles led to some undesirable behaviors on Elvis's part. Since coming back, we’ve been carefully rebuilding his trust — and he has made wonderful progress, especially since going to his foster home. <br/><br/>His walks are the favorite part of his day, and he absolutely loves going on outings and road trips. He’s a great little companion on adventures! Elvis does well with smaller dogs, though he can feel overwhelmed by large or very "in your face" dogs. <br/><br/>Elvis needs an experienced adopter who understands dog body language and can give him the time and reassurance he needs to feel safe in a new environment. He is looking for an all-adult home — kids may not recognize his subtle signs of nervousness underneath his cute exterior.<br/><br/>Elvis would enjoy having a fenced yard where he can explore, sniff, and do his zoomies, but it’s not required as long as his adopter is committed to providing consistent, nice long walks every day. <br/><br/>We know his perfect match is out there.
