Elton is still a growing puppy and we do expect him to get larger. Elton arrived in rescue after being from an accidental litter. He has been thriving in foster care, but is ready to find a family that is up for all of the puppy challenges, such as leash training, house training, continued socialization and learning what to chew and not chew. His foster mom says: Meet Elton! If you're looking for a sweet, easygoing puppy with a gentle personality, Elton may be your perfect match! While his siblings are busy creating puppy chaos, Elton tends to take life at a slower pace. He's a more laid-back little guy who doesn't have much to say—he rarely barks and is content exploring the yard with you, taking in all the new sights and smells at his own pace. Elton gets along wonderfully with the older dogs in his foster home, although he secretly wishes they'd indulge him in a few more games of puppy play! When he's finished exploring, his favorite place to be is curled up in your lap, soaking up all the cuddles and affection he can get. He loves being picked up, held close, and reminded just how loved he is. Like every young puppy, Elton is still learning the ropes. His future family should be ready for all things puppy, including leash walking, crate training, house training, and teaching him what is (and isn't!) appropriate to chew. With patience, consistency, and plenty of positive reinforcement, Elton is sure to grow into a wonderful lifelong companion.
