Elsa's Story
ELSA is a beautiful, approx. 3 year old, 85 pound mountain curr/catahoula mix. Her gorgeous ice white/blue eyes are striking! She is such a loving pup and craves love, stability and play! Elsa is a big, goofball who simply craves affection. She's very quiet and rarely barks. She is fearless! We've yet to find anything she's afraid of! She has a VERY strong prey drive & would make an EXCELLENT hunting dog! We do not recommend that she be in the same home with cats, hamsters or other small pets. Her foster home has small dogs & she does fine with them, but she doesn't realize her own size so we don't recommend her with toddlers or infants. Older children or teenagers would be perfect! Elsa LIVES to fetch & recently discovered toys. She loved them all! She has a ball that she brings with her everywhere! She loves all of her stuffies & babies. She is fully house & kennel trained and has never had an accident. She sleeps in her kennel without complaint and truly just wants to please her humans. Due to her size & strength we recommend that she have a strong handler. She didn't have much of a puppy life and was completely neglected & she's learning how to play. She can be a LOT and although she craves a playmate, she tends to be a bit much for older dogs. She would love another large, active dog to play with or she’d be fine as an only dog as well. She is super smart & has been trained to sit, stay, lie down and fetch. Her potential is limitless.

Elsa is up to date on all shots, spayed, and micro-chipped. Sadly, due to her previous neglect, she tested positive for heartworms; although she is asymptomatic and doesn't seem to have any adverse symptoms. She began slow-kill treatment in January and is scheduled to finish by year's end. We will provide all medications for the remainder of her slow-kill treatment upon adoption.

Elsa's History: Elsa was rescued from the streets of Houston, TX in a very rough shape. She had almost no fur, infections and no social skills. We pulled her in the nick of time to save her from being euthanized. It's taken us several months as a part of a loving foster home for her to heal physically and mentally. She has regrown all of her beautiful fur, learned how to live inside as a part of a family of other pups and humans. She is now a beautiful dog and will make a wonderful addition to the right home!

If you're interested in meeting ELSA & seeing if she's a good fit to be a part of your furever family, please complete our short, no obligation, adoption application found here: https://form.jotform.com/mustluvdogs/adoption-application

Please note that the majority of our dogs require a fully fenced yard or secured area, good veterinary history and references, as well as a life-long commitment to be a great family for your pup!

IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED for her new furever family we require the following:

*Her adopter needs a fully secure/fenced yard.
* Experienced pet home with verifiable vet references/history preferred, but we realize that everyone has to start somewhere, so all applications will be considered.
*Verifiable good veterinary history INCLUDING regular vaccination/visits and Good Heartworm Prevention history is a MUST!
*Adopter must be able to have time to spend with the pup and be able to provide the pup a safe environment to live.
*ALL our dogs are expected to be primarily INSIDE dogs. They MUST sleep inside the home. We truly understand that some folks have working dogs (i.e. farmers, ranchers ,etc); however, the majority of our dogs have had tough life prior to rescue & we wish to ensure they are showered with LUV & maybe even a bit spoiled for the rest of their lives.

APPLY HERE: https://form.jotform.com/mustluvdogs/adoption-application

Other facts are also considered, including whether children or other pets are a good fit with the dog.

Must Luv Dogs Rescue reserves the right to deny any applications that we don't think are a good fit with the pup. Our first & foremost concern is the dog's best interest. It is our MISSION to place them in a home that is a great fit for their needs for a lifetime of luv & being part of a family.

*We will consider adoptions in any area; however, will do not ship or transport a puppy under the age of 12 mos. We will ONLY transport an adult dog on a transport approved by MLD, at adopter's expense.

Please note that all of our pets are in private foster homes. In order to reduce any stress or confusion for our pups, we require a completed, approved application BEFORE setting up a meeting for any of fur-babies. Alternatively, you are always welcome to come meet any of our pups at one of our regular Adoption Events. They are always posted on PetFinder OR on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/mustLUVdogs.org.

Finally, THANK YOU for considering Must Luv Dogs for your next pet.

NOTES:
*Most dogs require a fenced area in yard.
*Apartments may be okay for certain breeds IF nearby dog park or walking trails.
*ALL dogs must be INSIDE dogs.
*We are a DUE DILIGENCE Adoption Rescue.
*Must have good Vet history & Heartworm prevention is a MUST!
*ALL dogs are fully vetted, spay/neutered and microchipped.
