He had gone from the warmth of his moms lap to the cold uncertainty of the streets, and finally to the stressful chaos of the shelter.<br/><br/>But Elroy is a fighter. With care, love, and time, hes regained his strength, and now this resilient little gentleman is ready to start the next, happiest chapter of his life.<br/><br/>At 9 years old, Elroy is the perfect mix of spunky and sweet. Hes polite, loving, and has a dignified airalmost as if he once served as a general in the Schnauzer Army (now happily retired). He enjoys playing with stuffed toys, chasing a ball now and then, but his favorite pastime is simply being near his person.<br/><br/>Hes housebroken, knows how to tell you when he needs to go out, and communicates in the most endearing way. Being deaf doesnt slow him downhe grumbles, barks, and talks in his own cute way, letting his personality shine. After dental surgery, hes working with fewer teeth, but he still loves his food with gusto. And fun facthis favorite TV show is Columbo!<br/><br/>Elroy has been through more in the past few months than any dog should, but his heart is still full of love to give.
