Ellis's Story

Ellis is a 8.5 year old shih-tzu with a sad story. His owner that he has had his entire life suffered a terrible accident and is no longer able to care for Ellis. We are looking for a quiet home for Ellis with NO children. He does well with calm, older dogs but does guard his food. He has some anxiety and is a barker, and also some grumpy old man tendencies. However, he is also very affectionate and cuddly. Our ideal home for Ellis is one where the adopter is familiar with the breed and has experience with undersocialized dogs. Ellis has mild cherry eye and has been seen by a vet who recommended no action be taken at this time because it does not bother him or cause any harm.
