Speedway Animal Rescue

5088 West 16th Street
Speedway, IN 46224

Our Mission

We are always in need of financial donations to pay for the veterinary care of our dogs. [We are a 501(c)3.] We also accept donations of collars, harnesses and nylon leashes for dogs.

We are a small non-profit rescue focused on the 4.77 square mile town of Speedway, Indiana, home of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Our goal is to make Speedway a no-kill town where every dog is spayed/neutered, microchipped and properly cared for. We rescue all dogs taken to the town's Animal Control facility. We assist owners in need with veterinary care and food/supplies.

Adoption Policy

All of our dogs are fully vetted prior to adoption - spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and tested for heartworm.

To adopt a dog from us, you will be required to complete an adoption application. When your completed application is returned to us, we will conduct a criminal background check, verify home ownership or landlord permission, check with any veterinary references and conduct a home check. We do not charge an adoption fee, but gladly accept donations to help us care for our other dogs.

We do not have a shelter. All of our dogs are in foster homes. Please call us to make an appointment to meet one of our adoptable dogs.

Donations can be sent to or made at 5088 West 16th Street, Speedway, IN  46224, northeast corner of 16th and Winton.
