Ellie's Story
Ellie is a beautiful 5-month-old German Shepherd and Hound mix who came from South Carolina after capturing our hearts during a visit down south. We couldn’t leave her behind, and she was given the chance at a bright future up north where she is now thriving and ready for her forever home.

Ellie is doing exceptionally well with her potty training and has already learned to ring a bell to let her foster family know when she needs to go outside. Her future adopters should be willing to continue reinforcing this training. She is also crate trained, making her a great fit for a home looking for a puppy with a strong foundation.

She does well with other dogs; however, Ellie prefers the company of male dogs over female dogs. Because of this, we feel she would do best as an only dog or in a home with male canine companions.

Ellie absolutely adores children and is currently fostered in a home with a two-year-old boy, whom she is incredibly gentle and patient with. She is very smart and eager to learn, picking up training quickly and responding well to guidance and structure.

Ellie is still a young puppy and will thrive in a home committed to continuing her training and helping her grow into a confident, well-rounded adult dog. In return, she will bring endless love, loyalty, and companionship.

Ellie’s Highlights:
• Loves children and is very gentle
• Crate trained
• Bell trained for potty breaks and doing very well with house training
• Dog friendly, with a preference for male dogs
• Likely cat friendly with slow, proper introductions
• Smart, eager to learn, and highly trainable
• Ready for a loving forever home

If you’re looking for a sweet, intelligent young dog to grow with your family, Ellie may be the perfect

Adopt Ellie: www.freedomfirstrescue.com/Ellie
