Ellie loves her people sooo much, she is so happy to be with you all day, and will gladly accompany you on all your tasks. She does feel great connections to those she loves, and has been struggling when left home alone and can get quite upset. Her ideal home would feature someone who can offer her a lot of time to work on this, by building her confidence being alone and redirecting her anxieties to other outlets with enrichment and training. She likely wouldn't do great being alone for a full work day, so someone who works from home would be her gold star home!<br/><br/>Ellie tends to get quite excited when she sees someone she knows, and can be jumpy trying to get your attention and closer to you. She's been learning to keep four feet on the floor, and is extremely food motivated paired with positive reinforcement and consistency. Ellie really loves squeaky toys and will happily throw them around and chase after them, putting on a circus show! She likes to stick by your side like a shadow and would love to snuggle up on the couch with her new human.<br/><br/>Ellie would do best as the only animal in the home, and is seeking someone who is keen on continuing her training to help her become her best self. Due to her prey drive and reactivity to other dogs, its in her best interest so she can get what she really needs from her guardian. She has been good with other dogs through the fence here at the shelter, but she is quite reactive to other dogs when on-leash.
