Ella

Ella weighs 52lbs and is a 3-year old, Australian cattle dog mix. She adores all people, is very good with kids and does ok with other animals, but her "cattle dog" nature makes her try to boss them around a bit more than necessary. Ella came into our care after her original owner was unable to help her through her behavioral issues. Ella was suffering from symptoms similar to a UTI but her test results kept coming back negative. She was prescribed a medication that caused her tremendous anxiety which ultimately made her afraid to go outside. Her owner worked with behaviorists, veterinarians and a trainer but was not able to help Ella over her fear of the outdoors. Ella has made great progress in her time with us and is housebroken with a doggie door. She will not go through an open door with a person holding it, so a doggie door in her new home is likely a must.<br/><br/>Ella enjoys people and loves to be brushed and doted on. She has been spayed and is up-to-date on her vaccines. If you are interested in meeting Ella, we would be happy to offer a trial period to be sure she's a good fit in your home.
