Eliza

Eliza
Female
Terrier Mix
DOB: 04/07/21
AVAILABLE FOR FOSTER TO ADOPT!

Introducing Eliza! She came to us extremely emaciated weighing only 24 pounds, but she still was wagging her tail and happy to meet people. Not long after being in our care, we found out that she is diabetic and a high heartworm positive. Eliza desperately needs a safe and stress-free foster home to undergo her treatments. While fostering, everything will be provided by us here at the HSMC! It is crucial that she gets her insulin injections 30 minutes after she's finished eating two times a day, every single day!!! It is important that her exercise is limited when it is time for her to start heartworm treatments. She would need to be crate rested, only out to go on potty breaks/walks. Eliza has such a sweet and gentle soul, she deserves to be able to heal and live a healthy life in a stress free environment! If you think you can be the one to provide that for her, put in an application or ask to meet her! Please read the animal bios completely before requesting additional information as we do our best to answer the most frequently ask questions in these bios.

In order to adopt one of our animals an application must be submitted and approved. Many adult dogs do arrive "house broken" however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application.
If you have any questions please email us at info@humanemorgan.org and provide name of the animal you are interested in, in the subject line.
Thank you, HSMC Staff

ADOPTION FEES Adoption Fees may change without notice.
