The adoption process starts with an Online Adoption Application you can find at 'https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application.
Phone interviews do not take place til after an approved application is on file and we have a possible match for your home

My name is Elisabeth, but my friends call me Lizzy. I am 4.5 years old and weigh 10 pounds. I need a new home because I was released from a puppy mill. I am being fostered in Ames, Iowa.

Hi friends… I’m Lizzy. I’m a very sweet girl who is just beginning to discover what life as a loved family dog is all about. My early life didn’t give me many chances to learn about the world, so some things are still new to me. But every day I get a little braver.

What I do know already is that I love people. Being close to my humans and curling up beside them makes me feel safe and happy. I’m also having a lot of fun playing with my foster brother, who is helping show me how to be a dog.

I’m working hard on my leash skills and potty training, and my foster family says I’m doing really well. I just need a patient family who understands that everything is new to me and will help me keep learning.

I would love a calm home that will give me time to blossom. Having another friendly dog in the house could help me feel even more confident.

I may start out a little shy, but with kindness and love, I promise to become the sweetest, most loyal companion you could ask for.
