Meet Elegance, aka Ellie<br/><br/>Ellie is a sweet young girl who came to Boxers & Buddies after being rescued from the Washoe County Regional Animal Services urgent list. Since arriving in her foster home, she has been making progress every single day. At 37lbs, she's a great medium sized dog. <br/><br/>Ellie can be a little skittish, but she is slowly gaining confidence and learning that she is safe. Her foster family says they can see her becoming more comfortable and trusting as each day passes. She also has plenty of one year old energy, so she's always ready for some fun!<br/><br/>Ellie gets along well with her foster family's resident German Shepherd and enjoys having a canine friend around. She can be a little enthusiastic with her play, though, and sometimes doesn't realize when her playmate has had enough. She can also display some resource guarding around things she considers valuable, so continued guidance and positive reinforcement will be important as she learns appropriate boundaries.<br/><br/>And then there are the things Ellie absolutely loves: toys and cuddles! Give her a favorite toy and some time to play, followed by a cozy spot next to her people, and she's a happy girl.<br/><br/>Ellie is looking for a family who will be patient with her, continue helping her build confidence, and appreciate all the silly, playful, affectionate moments that come with a young dog.
