Eleanor's Story

Sweet senior Eleanor is looking for a forever home! She's currently in a foster home in the Seattle area and can be adopted anywhere in the PNW.

Poor Eleanor has really had a tough go. Admittedly, her life did not start well. She was one of many dogs living in small spaces in a hoarding situation. Yes, she was owned, but she was denied vet care, normalcy and socialization. There was most likely abuse. She was rescued with all of her housemates in the fall of 2025. We have learned a lot about her since then.

Eleanor requires an adult only home, no kids or teenagers. She seems to have a fear of children that may stem from some sort of trauma. We just don’t know. What we do know is that it’s not trainable or worth her trying to live through it.
Her home must be relatively quiet and predictable with low levels of indoor traffic. She would prefer to sleep in the bed quietly with her human and not be crated. She would enjoy a friendly parallel dog that is under 25 lbs. Eleanor attends doggie daycare and does very well with friendly, polite dogs and interacts well.

Eleanor is initially shy and cautious, but once she trusts you, she is willing to follow you everywhere and she will adore you! She blossoms with patience and routine. She is both independent and affectionate.

Being a senior, she is very happy curling up on the couch to watch a movie. She loves her leisurely walks and does great in the rain. She does not require a yard. Eleanor is pad trained and will potty on leash too.

Eleanor would be perfect in a home that loves the "littles." Don't let her senior status fool you. She likely has several years to share with her family!

She is estimated at 8-10 years of age and weighs 12 lbs.

Eleanor's adoption fee is $400 and includes her travel to the PNW, all vaccinations, dental cleaning, spay and microchip. 100% of the fee goes to her care.

Please contact Carla at carlarelf@me.com for more information.

https://www.facebook.com/PacosNet
