Meet Elaine!<br/><br/>Elaine is a 40-pound Pit Mix born on 12/19/2025, and she's the last of the Plymouth Box puppies still waiting for her forever family. While all of her siblings have found homes, Elaine is patiently waiting for her turn, and we know her perfect family is out there.<br/><br/>Her foster describes her as happy, playful, and sweet, and those three words fit her perfectly. Elaine loves people and greets everyone she meets with enthusiasm, full-body tail wags, and a contagious zest for life. She has never met a stranger and is always excited to make a new friend.<br/><br/>Elaine is a social butterfly who enjoys just about everything. She loves playing with other dogs, interacting with cats, chewing on toys, going for walks, and snuggling up with her people. One of her foster's favorite things about her is the way she celebrates mealtime. She patiently waits while food is prepared, then bursts into happy jumps and twirls when it's finally her turn to eat.<br/><br/>She is fantastic with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends to play with. She is equally wonderful with cats and has formed a playful friendship with the resident cat in her foster home. They seek each other out to play and happily chase each other around the house. Elaine has also done well with children and would make a wonderful family companion.<br/><br/>Elaine already knows sit and has started learning to ring a bell to let her foster know she wants to go outside. She is still working on potty training and leash manners, so her future family should be prepared to continue helping her learn and grow. Like any young dog, she thrives with consistency, routine, and positive reinforcement.<br/><br/>Her ideal home would be one that enjoys an active, engaged dog. She would love another playful dog, a cat companion, or family members who enjoy spending time playing, walking, and interacting with her. Most of all, Elaine wants to be included and loved.<br/><br/>Despite a difficult start to life, Elaine has blossomed into a confident, affectionate, and resilient young dog.
