She is short and compact and definitely looks like she weighs less than 40 lbs. She is beautiful and has the most soulful eyes. <br/><br/>Effie is extremely dog and cat friendly. She is housebroken and crate trained. She loves all chews and toys. If you leave her unsupervised with stuffies, they do have a strange habit of exploding. <br/><br/>Effie is fully vetted - spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm prevention, and microchipped. This girl is ready to find her home. <br/><br/>So what gives? Why is she still in foster care?<br/><br/>Wellllll, Effie is shy. She is a timid, submissive girl. I don’t know much about her back story, but it is easy to see how this scared beauty was overlooked in the shelter. <br/><br/>If you want a dog that is going to trust you on day one, Effie isn’t for you. <br/><br/>But if you can appreciate a dog that takes time to trust and deeply value those perfect moments of connection, Effie could be everything you’ve been dreaming about. <br/><br/>Effie is scared by loud noises (loud cars, sirens, thunder.) She does walk well on a leash, though. Effie is still working on building her confidence and nothing makes her light up like another dog. <br/><br/>We adore Effie, but she needs to find her forever family. We celebrate every small victory - coming out of her kennel on her own, running up to give kisses without prompting, zoomies when she thinks no one is watching. <br/><br/>Effie is an incredible dog, she needs an incredible family that will love and appreciate her gentle spirit and find joy in bringing her peace, stability, and confidence. <br/><br/>Effie is adoptable through Pet Pack Rescue Initiative to the right family.
