Eeyore's Story
Meet Eeyore 💙 🫏
You may recognize Eeyore. His story shook a lot of hearts, but today, he’s no longer just a survivor. He’s a dog ready for a home.🐾

Eeyore is a 2–3 year old bully mix who has survived more than most dogs ever should. First, he was brutally attacked by a stranger with an axe, leaving a serious head wound. Then, he was hit by a car and nearly lost his life again. But Eeyore is a fighter, a tough little soul whose heart stayed incredibly soft through it all.

Despite his traumatic past, Eeyore is extremely sweet. He loves people, adores kids, and gets along beautifully with other dogs. Cats, however, are a no for him. Because he’s never truly had a stable home, Eeyore sometimes struggles with separation anxiety and worries that being left alone means being abandoned. To help him feel safe and relaxed, he does take medication when he is home alone, which has made a big difference for him and allows him to settle and decompress.

Physically, he’s impossible not to love. This perfect 35-lb boy has one ear up, one ear down, and a missing ear tip that hints at a past we may never fully know. It just adds to his charm. He’s the ideal size to take anywhere, and he loves tagging along. Eeyore does amazing in public settings, rides calmly in the car, enjoys chewing on toy bones, and balances being very chill with a sweet, playful side.

Eeyore has been through heartbreak, pain, and survival, and now he’s finally ready for his happy ending.

If you can’t adopt, please share his story. Help Eeyore find the family he’s waited so long for. 🐾

To apply to adopt Eeyore, please visit hungrytailzrescue.com
Click on the “Adopt” tab, scroll down, and then click “Adopt Me” to fill out an adoption application.
Be sure to include Eeyore’s name on your application.
