Edward's Story
Edward was born on May 9, 2025, so he’s 9 months old. He is small, playful and loves to run around. Edward also loves to cuddle. This little dog is very mellow for his age, He knows how to behave around other dogs, and he is much calmer than many dogs his age. He loves to play with toys, fetches, likes to run around the house and yard. Gets the zoomies. He also knows when to calm down. If mommy wants a nap, Edward will nap along with her, preferably on her lap. He has a good appetite, and does not seem to have any food aggression.
He's good about going to the bathroom outside, as long as you go with him. I recommend taking him out every couple of hours for a while. He is young, and he needs to learn your routine. He does like to steal shoes, and get up on the coffee table but he understands "no!" He is crate trained.
I think he is very smart, and very sweet. He would make a fabulous companion for a retired person, even though he is a young dog. He's not too taxing. He is also suitable for a family with kids, as long as the kids are properly trained.

He sleeps on my bed and is quiet during the night.
He has short hair and does not shed much, if any. He has curly whiskers!
Edward answers to Edward, and Eddie.
We think he is a Chiweenie, with a little Poodle thrown in, as his littermate had all curly hair. He has had a good start with us and seems to be very healthy.

Edward is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.
Edward only weighs 7-8 lbs!

If Edward is the dog for you, please fill out an application at: http://www.azdesertrotti.com/html/to_adopt.htm
Once you have filled out the application, someone will contact you about the pup to answer your questions. The best way to contact us is to email suebergier49@gmail.com.

Arizona Desert Rottie & Pals Rescue is a NO KILL rescue serving Tucson and the surrounding area.

A home visit is usually required for the safety of our animals. We check the fenced yard to make sure this little boy cannot escape, no predator can get in, and also look for hazardous plants he may get in to.

Our rescues are homed with foster parents. They are fostered in homes so that we can tell you a little bit about their personalities, feeding schedule, habits, behavior, whether they get along with other dogs. We can tell you if they are crate trained, if they are leash trained and house trained. Most dogs need a refresher course on potty training when they go to a new home. They need to learn your routine, and it will be up to you to teach them.
