<p>Eduardo, The International Dachshund of Mystery. Eddie was found wandering the streets of Baton Rouge, found by a basset hound rescuer, was taken in by a dachshund rescue organization for 2 years and came to The Sanctuary a year ago. He is a short haired dachshund, dark brown, almost black. He weighs 17 lbs, and could probably stand to lose a pound. He is very solid. His age is estimated between 7 and 8 years old. Eddie is up to date on his shots and is neutered. He has no health issues, and has no special dietary requirements. He does well with other dogs, not so much with cats. Eddie is a stealthy one, and has been known to follow a cat up a cat tree !!!! Mom quickly took away that enticement ! He is untested with children. Eddie's temperament is that of easy going and laid back. He is fine when left alone, but will snuggle with you if you ask! He sleeps in the big bed at night, but is fine sleeping by himself. He LOVES burrowing in blankies....You can make your bed and come back to find it all balled up in the middle, with Eddie rolled up like a giant burrito ! He is not a huge barker, but has the most awesome husky bark. Eddie is one of the best when clipping nails, and also does well with the dremel. He was named The International Dachshund of Mystery because of the scar on his back....we have no way of knowing what happened, and he refuses to talk about it. Eduardo would make a wonderful companion, he is so easy going that our guess is that he would enjoy doing pretty much anything that you feel like doing !!!!
