<div dir="auto">I'm Edison (or Eddie, for short), and the world still feels way to big for me. I likely used to live outside without much human interaction. When I first came to the shelter, I was unfamiliar with "inside" spaces. I've got a big, gentle heart, but im still got a lot of journeys ahead of me. New sounds and spaces can be overwhelming, so I like to take things slow before I can trust fully. I communicate mostly through my body language to let you know what I do and don't like. If you're someone who is dog-savvy and knows how to communicate with dogs like me, I'm sure we'll be good friends.</div><br/><br/><div dir="auto"></div><br/><br/><div dir="auto">I'd really like a patient, calm home where I can build my confidence on my timeline. Another friendly dog will help me be brave and learn things aren't scary, but kids would be a little too much for me right now. Treats help me gain your trust, and scratches under the chin definitely help too. I'm also working on gaining a little weight and strength, so I'm on a journey in more ways than one. Grand Rivers Humane's Adoption Policy
All potential adopters must complete an adoption application and contract.
Adoption fee for dogs is $160 (includes spay/neuter and age appropriate immunizations). Adoption fee for puppies is $200.
Fee for cats ($100)/kittens ($140) (includes spay/neuter and age appropriate immunizations).
Cash only.
All meet and greets must be done locally. We do not transport dogs or cats.

Our mission is to reduce the number of homeless pets through adoption events & area locations and provide medical care for shelter pets in need. Most of our adoptable pets come from Mesa County Animal Services.
