Edie's Story

Meet Edie, a sweet little old soul who is still learning that the world—and especially those funny-looking humans—can be a pretty nice place! Edie is what her foster lovingly calls cautiously optimistic. She's a little shy when meeting new people, so she prefers to take things nice and slow, just like a proper little lady. Give her some time, patience, and a few gentle introductions, and she may decide you are worthy of a little petting. Why, she has already warmed up to her foster's friends, family, and neighbor! See? She's getting there, one tiny, brave step at a time.

Now, don't let her fancy old-lady manners fool you—Edie is still a kiddo at heart! Around 2 yrs old, she LOVES her stuffed toys and plays with them all the time, enjoys being outside and running around, and really adores other dogs. In fact, her foster thinks shed be happiest with a confident canine companion who can show her the ropes and be her very own playmate. She's adjusting nicely to leash walks, rarely barks, and settles into her crate after a few minutes. She's still working on her house training, too, so her new family will need to be patient and encouraging. If you have a gentle heart, a little time, and perhaps a nice doggie friend for her, Edie would love to grow her confidence with you—one stuffed toy, one walk, and one oh, I think I like you! at a time.

Interested in meeting this dog?
Visit our website (https://www.sccrescue.org/) to fill out an application and to find out where this dog may be shown this weekend.

We love our dogs.
