Edgar's Story
Meet Edgar!

Edgar is a 6.5-month-old neutered male Corgi/Terrier mix weighing in at just 12 pounds-small in size but big in personality! This happy, playful boy loves toys, romping around with other dogs, and anything that involves food (seriously... very food motivated).

Edgar walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys getting out to explore the world. He's currently working on potty training and kennel training and is making steady progress with routine and consistency.

Because Edgar is a rescue from Texas and likely experienced food insecurity early in life, he does resource guard his food bowl. For this reason, if there are other dogs in the home, it's recommended that Edgar be fed in his kennel or designated safe space so he can eat comfortably and avoid any food-related tension. With structure and understanding, he does very well.

Edgar would do best in a home with older kids or no children, where his food boundaries can be respected. He thrives with patient adopters who understand that his guarding behavior comes from survival, not aggression-and who are willing to continue working with him as he learns that food will always be there.

If you're looking for a fun, affectionate, toy-loving little guy who just needs a bit of extra reassurance, Edgar could be your perfect match.

Being fostered in Readstown, WI

My adoption fee is $350 and you can see more about the rescue at https://lastpawrescue.org. Our website takes days to update so please apply even if I'm not on there.
You can apply directly at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LPRI/Dog?fbclid=IwAR2NSCms13xrrfdH2mAbM1hPg5dQoC0ruvNJI3TsFtZtsWp9PvNx46zC6SM

501(c)(3) Approved WI Agricultural Licence#285589-DSR
