What is Anything's Pawsible - Animal Resource Center’s adoption process?

All of the animals in our care are kept in foster homes in order to provide them with as much love, compassion, and training as possible. We do request pre-adoption applications to be filled out, run background checks, and require references in order to adopt, so that we know these sweet souls are in the perfect home! All of the dogs in our care are kept in foster homes (typically with cats and children) where they are treated like family members and given LOTS of attention all while working dutifully on basic commands and potty training! Dogs under six months of age are adopted out with an alteration contract with a pre-established surgery date at a local vets office in Springfield, OH for no additional cost; failure to comply with the contract will result in the dog returning to our care. At the time of adoption puppies will have at least one round of vaccinations, be dewormed, and microchipped. The adoption fee for puppies 8 weeks of age to 6 months of age is $250. Dogs over six months of age are all heartworm negative, vaccinated including rabies, dewormed, microchipped, and spayed or neutered at the time of adoption. The adoption fee for dogs under 8 years of age is $200, for dogs over 8 years of age the fee is $100. Cat adoption fees are $75 which include the cost of alteration, vaccination including rabies if appropriate, FeLV/FIV testing, and microchipping.
