Echo's Story

UPDATE: THEY CAN BE ADOPTED SEPERATELY

Meet Echo

2 years old Female German Shepherd

Some dogs find comfort in a favorite toy or a cozy bed. Echo finds hers in Sage.

These two beautiful German Shepherds arrived as strays, waiting patiently for the family they thought would come looking for them. Day after day they watched the door, but no one ever came. No phone calls, no visits, no happy reunion. Through it all, they had each other.

Echo is incredibly friendly and inquisitive. She has the kind of gentle spirit that makes you feel like you've been friends forever.

We're not sure how she feels about cats, and any resident dog will need a meet and greet to ensure everyone is a good match. What we do know is that Echo shares an unbreakable bond with Sage, and we would love nothing more than to see them begin their next chapter together.

We know adopting two dogs is a big commitment, but it's also twice the loyalty, twice the laughter, and twice the unconditional love. Watching Echo glance over to make sure Sage is beside her is a quiet reminder that sometimes the greatest comfort in the world is simply having your best friend close.

They've already experienced being forgotten once. We hope they never have to experience that feeling again.

If you have room in your home and your heart for two incredible souls who have never stopped believing in people, Echo and Sage are waiting. Their story deserves a happy ending, and maybe, just maybe, that ending begins with you.

If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list.

The adoption fee is $95 and you receive certificates for $50 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies vaccine if not already done. All dogs are heartworm tested, receive a DHLPP, flea and tick treatment, and are dewormed.
