Update 8/14/26: The vet removed both of her eyes today as they were painful and there was no hope of even minimal sight in either of them. So she will be pain-free once healed. And despite being blind, she is otherwise a typical, happy-go-lucky little pupper.<br/><br/>Echo is a 1- 1.5 year old Cocker Spaniel who is blind AND deaf, but don't tell her she's supposed to be limited by that! This girl is a total glass-half-full kind of pup who navigates the world using her incredible sense of smell like she has perfect vision. She's never once been snippy, despite not being able to see or hear what's coming. She LOVES everyone — people, dogs AND cats!<br/> <br/>Echo is definitely high-energy when she's up and about, but she can go from 1,000 to 0 the second she gets to cuddle. She's a certified Stage 5 Clinger who would prefer to be touching her person at all times. She's crate-friendly, settles easily, and has the funniest little quirks — including inspecting every single piece of her dinner before finally deciding it's acceptable enough to eat.<br/> <br/>She can be a little handsy and mouthy, which we think is part of how she's adapted to experiencing the world without sight or hearing. She uses her mouth and other senses to investigate everything around her.<br/><br/>And now Echo has an exciting next step!
