Echo's Story

Echo is a 2-year-old pure-bred Mini Australian Shepherd who packs a whole lot of personality into his 22 pounds of fluff. Born deaf, Echo doesn’t let that slow him down one bit—in fact, it seems to make him even more tuned in to the people he loves. He’s incredibly smart, eager to learn, and very connected to his humans. When meeting new people, Echo can be a little shy at first, so he appreciates slow, calm introductions. But once you’ve passed the “Echo approval test,” you’re in for life—he’ll be your loyal shadow, cuddle buddy, and biggest fan.<br/>Echo is wonderfully versatile with other animals. He’s great with cats and is even chicken-approved! He absolutely loves female dogs. With male dogs, he can be a bit selective—he either decides they’re his new best friend or not his cup of tea. The good news? Echo makes up his mind within seconds, so introductions are quick and very clear. If there’s another male dog in the home, a meet-and-greet will help make sure everyone gets along. Because of his shyness, he would not be a good fit for a home with children. Around the house, Echo is the definition of a gentleman. He’s fully housebroken, crate-trained, and so well-mannered that he doesn’t really need a crate. He’s also neutered and up to date on all vaccinations, so he’s ready to settle right into his forever home.<br/>Echo would thrive with a patient family who appreciates a smart, sensitive dog and is happy to earn his trust—and his heart. Once you do, you’ll have a devoted companion who brings joy, cuddles, and a little bit of sass to every day.<br/>If you’re looking for a loyal, clever, and endlessly lovable sidekick, Echo might just be your perfect match.
