Ebony is a beautiful, sweet-natured girl with a joyful personality and so much love to give. She is playful, affectionate, curious, and always interested in what is happening around her. Whether she is exploring something new, enjoying playtime, or simply spending time with her people, Ebony brings a wonderful warmth and happiness wherever she goes.<br/><br/>Ebony’s story began alongside her sister, Onyx, under heartbreaking circumstances. The two girls were abandoned on the street and left completely on their own. A concerned neighbor noticed them huddled closely together, staying near the same spot and seemingly waiting for the person who had left them behind to return.<br/><br/>But no one came back.<br/><br/>Cold, wet, hungry, and unsure of what was happening, Ebony and Onyx only had each other for comfort. Thankfully, they were noticed before anything worse could happen. Our partner rescue, SOS el Arca Animal Rescue, brought the sisters to safety and gave them everything they had been missing—warmth, nutritious food, veterinary care, security, and plenty of love.<br/><br/>Those difficult days are now behind Ebony. She has blossomed into a healthy, happy, and loving young girl who is ready for something she has never had before: a family of her very own.<br/><br/>Ebony has a lovely personality. She still has that fun, playful puppy energy and enjoys exploring and having adventures, but she also knows when it is time to slow down and relax. She loves human companionship and has a gentle way about her that makes her especially endearing.<br/><br/>She is gentle with children and could be a wonderful addition to a family with kids. With her affectionate nature and playful spirit, Ebony would love a home where she can be included in everyday family life, continue learning, and enjoy all the experiences she missed during her difficult beginning.<br/><br/>Ebony is expected to grow into a medium-size dog, making her a great companion for many different homes and lifestyles. She is also crate trained, which can be very helpful with potty training and make her adjustment to a new home easier.<br/><br/>Ebony is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and 4DX tested. She is also on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention (Simparica).<br/><br/>We are currently looking for a committed adopter or foster-to-adopt home so Ebony can travel to New York on the next transport.<br/><br/>Ebony once sat on the street beside her sister, waiting for someone who never returned.
