Earl's Story

Earl was found as a stray in Phoenix and spent a week in the ICU at Arizona Humane Society due to untreated valley fencer, causing him all sorts of trouble. Despite him not feeling well, he quickly became a team favorite so we knew we had to help him.

Little boy Earl has fun playful energy, and is a friend to all, even cats! He loves playing with small dog friends, and people. Because of his Valley Fever, he will be on medication for the rest of his life in order to keep him healthy (~$16 per month). With consistent daily meds, he will live a normal happy life!

He does good on leash and is non-reactive. He has patio dog potential!

Interested in learning more about or meeting Earl? Fill out an application!

https://www.handoverrover.org/adoptionapplication

All prospective adopters are required to complete an adoption application or share some details about themselves. Following this, we will arrange a meet & greet between the family and the pet. A mandatory home check will then be conducted. Once the home check is complete, an adoption agreement must be signed. Adoption fees range from $50 to $400 and must be paid when the adoption is finalized. Each adoption includes a 2-week trial period. If things don’t work out, the adoption fee is fully refundable. After the 2-week trial, while we are always happy to take back any of our dogs, the adoption fee will have already been invested in the care of other animals.
