Dutch was born around December 27, 2024, so hes still very much a puppybut already weighed 47 pounds by June 5th. Hes going to be a big boy when fully grown!<br/><br/>Dutch appears to be mostly (if not all) Anatolian Shepherd. He is: neutered,up-to-date on vaccines,microchipped,current on heartworm &amp; flea prevention,tested negative for heartworms, kennel trained and leash trained.<br/><br/>Dutch is wonderful with other dogs, good with children, and is simply a gentle giant in the making.<br/><br/>ABOUT THE BREED:<br/><br/>Anatolian Shepherds are a large, powerful, and highly protective breed. They are known for their loyalty and natural guarding instincts, which make them excellent protectors, but they do require an owner who understands and respects the breeds needs.<br/><br/>Socialization is key. Dutch is being socialized now, and it is essential that his future family continues this. Without consistent exposure to new people, animals, and environments, this breed can become wary or even aggressive toward strangers due to their protective nature.<br/><br/>Strong leadership required. This is not a breed for first-time dog owners. Dutch will thrive in a home with an experienced, confident, and consistent pack leader.<br/><br/>Best with older children.
