At about 55 lbs, he's neutered, microchipped, and fully up to date on vaccines and preventatives—ready to meet his forever family!<br/><br/> Personality & Training<br/><br/>Dusty is house-trained and trustworthy free-roaming when left alone. He knows a full set of commands including sit, down, come, wait, stay, shake (both paws!), and sit pretty. He has a medium energy level but is also perfectly content being a little couch potato when the mood strikes.<br/><br/> His Ideal Home<br/><br/>Dusty is people-selective and does have some initial “stranger danger,” but with a proper warm-up—and lots of butt scratches—he becomes an incredibly loyal Velcro companion. He bonds deeply with his person and tends to gravitate toward women, though he has done well with men after a proper introduction.<br/><br/>Dusty does have a bite history, believed to be rooted in startle/reactive reflexes. Because of this, he needs a calm, kid-free home where sudden movements and frequent visitors won't overwhelm him. Once he trusts you, he is truly the sweetest soul.<br/><br/> Other Pets<br/><br/>Dusty would be perfectly happy as an only dog, but he also enjoys playing with his foster dog siblings.<br/>He does have a strong prey drive, including a love for “Chase the Cat,” so no cats for this boy.<br/><br/> What Makes Dusty Special<br/><br/>Dusty is an affectionate, cuddly lovebug who adores kisses, boops, and snuggling with his humans.
