Meet Dusty
Meet our stunning friend Dusty! Dusty is a young adult shepherd mix looking for his perfect match. He has made so much progress here at the shelter and we are sure he will do so much better in a home!
He's a very active boy. He's quite strong but he walks well on a harness. Dusty's favorite thing in the world is playing fetch with a ball. You can always find him carrying one around the shelter. He's learned ""drop"" and ""wait"" which makes fetch so much easier!
This dog just wants a person to call his own. He may hog the bed and steal your heart, too! We are learning more and more about Dusty every day. From what we've observed he would thrive in an active home that can keep him busy. He needs a stable environment where he can settle down and have a good routine he can depend on.
We are currently working on more dog testing but at the moment it seems he may do well with a very docile and laid-back dog. We are still watching though. He may prefer to be your only dog; we have observed a few jealous tendencies. He seems to be slightly spooked but vaguely interested by cats. He has not chased the cats he has encountered in a home environment with a staff member. He's had some sleep overs and outings with staff that have helped give us some insight on Dusty. He would likely benefit from an experienced dog owner who is willing to provide him with training where he needs it. Dusty has wonderful tendencies for house breaking and when in a home environment he does even better.
