Dunkin's Story
Dunkin's dating profile gets him all the likes, but his last few relationships had people saying he was too hot to handle. He's 8lbs of adorable, but this guy knows it.

He loves to play and explore, so much so that he tries to sneak out for a night on the town if he has the opportunity. He's been known to dash out front doors, back doors and even tried scaling a fence. He need a super jealous mom or dad that goes through his phone and doesn't let him out of their sight. This means a fenced in yard and 100% supervision when outside or when people are entering or exiting the home.

His energetic ways come with a mouth to back it up and he can be a bit of a smack talker. He protests his crate and needs someone that will be patient and work with him slowly to make the crate a good and safe place to be. So be prepared for lots of conversations with this young guy as well as him to be darting around and under your feet.

One more thing, as if his attitude wasn't enough. You'd never know it, but he has bilateral luxating patellas. Our vet thinks he will eventually need surgery and we will cover it, but all the more reason for the crate training as he will need some down time after that. He also is high maintenance in his grooming needs and needs groomed every 6-8 weeks

If you are still reading, please understand we are very serious about him needing a patient owner that is willing to work with him, because he is sure to test your nerves. He's not a lap dog, but does snuggle at night. So if you like a whirlwind of energy and a whole lot of attitude, Dunkin may be your guy.

He's been through a lot of homes at a young age so we are going to be screening heavy to make sure you are up for the challenge. You will need to attend obedience classes with our trainer as an extra measure of commitment for him and his new owners.

Dunkin is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots and prevention. He has an adoption fee of $300. To meet him , please submit an application at
www.k9kindnessrescue.org/adopt. As a reminder, we are not a shelter location and require a scheduled meet and greet.

Adopters must live within 175 miles of the Quad Cities. All pets currently in the home must be routinely kept up to date on shots, prevention and fixed to be approved for adoption.
