Duncan's Story

Duncan just wants to make you cuddle and hug him all the time.
Duncan has an aire of just calmness, sound, grounded, energy, that will soothe your soul. For the most part, he’s just a really mellow, loving dog who loves to be hugged and will ask for an occasional belly rub. He’s a dog that just wants to hang out with you. Just as much as he wants to be with you, you will find yourself just wanting to hang out with him. He’s so comforting and chill. He also can be active, fun and playfully engaging if prompted and he stays at a really good level. He’s good on a leash but he can pull when on a mission. Even with his stout build when he jumps to your hips to give you a hug he is so attentive to not put pressure against you. He’s very mindful. This dude is really a great land, which is why his beginning with us is so tragic and confusing. He was just dumped in the Victorville desert (a known dumping area) along with a terrier partner that matched him in color. We were asked if we could help keep Duncan out of the shelter and of course we couldn’t pass him up. We’ve had some limited dog to dog exposure, which he has displayed good demeanor, but as he is not neutered, we tend not to expose dogs for too long as there could be reactivity to dogs that are not neutered so we will wait to do more testing down the road but initially we can tell you that he seems dog friendly.

Duncan has a portion of his stray hold to carry out with us, but we are looking for a foster or a foster to adopt to place him with to give him more one on one attention and give us a little bit more Intel on him. He is crate trained and he may be house trained.

All adoptions are processed as Foster to Adopt to give time for Rescue to evaluate if applicant(s) and the rescue dog are appropriate matched after a period of time of acclimation has appropriately been applied or experienced before life commitments are made

TEXT FOR FASTER RESPONSE to inquiries:
323-558-8094
Email:paradeofpawsrescue@gmail.com
For more pictures and videos please follow us on IG: @paradeofpawsdogrescue
Ask us about our GREAT out of town adoption process!
