Dulce **Available for Foster-to-Adopt**'s Story

Dulce | 2 y/o female | 11 pounds

Arriving via Flight to LGA (Southwest - Date tbd)

A Survivor Ready for Her Soft Landing: Dulce is heading east — and she's bringing a story of resilience that will melt your heart.

This sweet girl has been through more than most dogs face in a lifetime. Due to her petite frame, Dulce required an emergency C-section to survive a difficult pregnancy. Sadly, of her litter, only one puppy survived — and that little fighter recently passed as well. Dulce has spent the last several weeks focused on one thing: healing and getting healthy again, with the help of an amazing veterinary foster. Now, with the help of a dedicated flight chaperone, she's making the journey from California to the East Coast in search of the soft place to land that she so deeply deserves.

Dulce isn't traveling alone in spirit, either. Her sister Honey — who came into care alongside her and shares a close bond — is already here! While they won't be fostered/adopted together, we're hoping to find foster or foster-to-adopt families (potentially even in the same area!) who would be open to keeping these sisters in each other's lives. After everything they've been through together, a little reunion now and then would mean the world.

What Dulce needs now is simple: rest, gentle care, and a family willing to help her settle into a life of comfort and love after such a hard road. Whether you're considering fostering or are open to a forever match, Dulce is ready to show you just how much love she has to give!

Note: No additional photos, video or information about Dulce is available at this time. Learn more about the foster-to-adopt program.

Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella, heartworm negative, microchipped and neutered. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.

To apply for Dulce, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for a foster application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available.

**If placed outside of the 5 boroughs, must be willing to transport Dulce back to NYC for veterinary care and/or adoption events.**

Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue.

Adoptions: adopt@waggytailrescue.org
