Duke (W. Sacramento)'s Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.
Three-year-old Duke came into GGBR with his sister Roxy. They are truly a bonded pair and very much need to stay together. Duke is a nervous fellow at first but with a little time and patience he blossoms into an incredibly sweet, cuddly boy who wants very much to please you, play with other dogs (especially his sister), attack his dog beds, and gobble up treats. He is on the smaller side at 40 pounds. He is well house trained and uses a doggy door. He is also crate trained and does well in the car.

Duke seems to have had a rough start in life, which may be why he is nervous around new people, new dogs, and new situations. But he is being fostered in a dog sitting home with many dogs that come and go and, given a little time, he has adjusted well and is becoming more well-socialized every day. He would love a new mom or dad who is patient and gentle, as he can be a little sensitive.

He is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and had a dental cleaning on August 25.
